The Yale Office of Public Affairs and Communications is responsible for external and internal communication regarding Yale’s academic and institutional mission.  The collection of photographs includes general contemporary scenes of campus and campus life, major University events, faculty portraits, images of architecture, and editorial illustrations. All images since August 2000 are digital. Older materials, most of which have been transferred to the Department of Manuscripts and Archives at Sterling Memorial Library, include black-and-white negatives and prints, color negatives and prints, and color transparencies.
