Subjects include ethnographic, geographic, historical, political, prominent political figures, architecture, ceremonies, etc.


Photographs in the African Collection are rich in historical, political, ethnographic, and geographic information. Most cover South African history, such as diaries with photographs from the time of the Boer War. Many of the photographs throughout the collection are unique.
