Overview

The photographic collections of the Center’s Department of Prints and Drawings are part of the fine art collection, serving research, teaching, and exhibition needs. The photographs, either by British photographers or of British subject matter (architecture, landscape, portraiture, topography), have aesthetic merit, but the collection does not constitute either a cohesive or comprehensive account of British photography.
