Photographs (slides, transparencies, gelatin silver prints, and color inkjet prints) document objects in the collection and are stored in the object files. There are multiple views of sculptures and before and after conservation photographs of the American portrait and mourning miniature collection.

The collection is comprised of 8-x-10 black-and-white prints, 5-x-7 color prints, 35 mm slides and color transparencies, as well as digital files. Photographs are filed by collection object, with every photograph located within each object file. The photographs themselves are not catalogued.
